The work Baghdadiyat by Lorna Selim was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November last year. It achieved a price of GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,603.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66%. Admittedly, works by Lorna Selim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baghdadiyat in June 2020 with an auction result of GBP 52,562.00 (€ 57,887.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 66 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Baghdadiyat von Lorna Selim kam im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.603,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lorna Selim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baghdadiyat im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 52.562,00 (€ 57.887,93).
