Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Lori Hersberger achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in February 2013. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work INSTANT KARMA No. 2 sold for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 57,206.67) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lori Hersberger; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Instant Karma No. 14 sold at auction in November 2013 with the realized price of USD 93,750.00 (€ 68,903.42).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lori Hersberger erzielte im Februar 2013 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit INSTANT KARMA No. 2 für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 57.206,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lori Hersberger; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Instant Karma No. 14 im November 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 68.903,42).
