In the Important Portrait Miniatures including works from the auction, the work Carl XIV Johan, King of Sweden (1764-1844), facing right in blue coat with gold buttons and epaulettes, wearing the blue moiré sash and breast-star of the Swedish Order of the Seraphim, the Swedish Order of Charles XIII suspended from a red ribbon a sold for GBP 2,937.50 (€ 4,674.49) - Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lorenz Lars Svensson Sparrgren; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790), 1786 sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of GBP 4,410.00 (€ 4,926.36).
