Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Pavillion by a Fall; Anchored for the Night; Market Town; & Village in the Mist by Long Chin-San. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 160,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,093.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Long Chin-San have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountain Huang in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 95,904.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pavillion by a Fall; Anchored for the Night; Market Town; & Village in the Mist von Long Chin-San zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 160.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.093,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Long Chin-San auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountain Huang im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 95.904,08).
