Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Milk Fountain by Loie Hollowell. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,850.00 (€ 16,634.05) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Loie Hollowell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Linked Lingams (yellow, green, blue, purple, pink) in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 16,510,000.00 (€ 1,793,414.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Milk Fountain von Loie Hollowell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.850,00 (€ 16.634,05) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Loie Hollowell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Linked Lingams (yellow, green, blue, purple, pink) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 16.510.000,00 (€ 1.793.414,08).
