Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 20th Century Art, which included the work De brug by Lodewijk Schelfhout. The price achieved of EUR 3,840.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lodewijk Schelfhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue du Val de Grâce, Paris in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 50,118.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 20th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit De brug von Lodewijk Schelfhout zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.840,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lodewijk Schelfhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue du Val de Grâce, Paris im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 39.650,00 (€ 50.118,93).
