Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Gezicht Op Een Dorp by Lodewijk Schelfhout for EUR 298.75. This price was achieved in the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 300.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lodewijk Schelfhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue du Val de Grâce, Paris in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 50,118.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gezicht Op Een Dorp von Lodewijk Schelfhout für EUR 298,75 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 300,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lodewijk Schelfhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue du Val de Grâce, Paris im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 39.650,00 (€ 50.118,93).
