Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A view of Ajaccio, Corsica by Lodewijk Schelfhout was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2001. Here, the upper estimate of NLG 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for NLG 3,290.00 (€ 1,523.79). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lodewijk Schelfhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue du Val de Grâce, Paris in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 50,118.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A view of Ajaccio, Corsica von Lodewijk Schelfhout wurde im März 2001 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von NLG 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für NLG 3.290,00 (€ 1.523,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lodewijk Schelfhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue du Val de Grâce, Paris im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 39.650,00 (€ 50.118,93).
