The work Figures and a sleigh on the ice by Lodewijk Johannes Kleijn was sold in the Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2016. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,125.00 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lodewijk Johannes Kleijn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Skaters on a frozen waterway, a mansion beyond in April 2001 with an auction result of NLG 152,750.00 (€ 70,109.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Figures and a sleigh on the ice von Lodewijk Johannes Kleijn wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.125,00 und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lodewijk Johannes Kleijn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Skaters on a frozen waterway, a mansion beyond im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 152.750,00 (€ 70.109,39).
