Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Spring by Llewellyn Petley Jones for GBP 188.00 (€ 307.33). This price was achieved in the auction Twentieth Century British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Llewellyn Petley Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View from the artist's studio, Park Road, Richmond in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,884.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Spring von Llewellyn Petley Jones für GBP 188,00 (€ 307,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Llewellyn Petley Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View from the artist's studio, Park Road, Richmond im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.884,37).
