In June 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Snow on a Sunny Day by Liu Yongming. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,826.79), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Yongming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Village with an Old Tree, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 137,088.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snow on a Sunny Day von Liu Yongming zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.826,79) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Yongming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Village with an Old Tree beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 137.088,77) versteigert wurde.
