Auction result well in line with expectations
The work You Like Me, Why Not Series No. 14 by Liu Wei was auctioned at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. The price achieved of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 700,000.00 – 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 38,840,000.00 (€ 4,375,907.70).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit You Like Me, Why Not Series No. 14 von Liu Wei kam im April diesen Jahres bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 700.000,00 – 1.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 38.840.000,00 (€ 4.375.907,70).
