A top price for Liu Rentao - as previously expected
The work Butterfly Dream by Liu Rentao was auctioned at Phillips in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,245.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Butterfly Dream is the most expensive artwork by Liu Rentao that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Butterfly Dream von Liu Rentao kam im Juni 2007 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.245,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Butterfly Dream das teuerste Kunstwerk von Liu Rentao, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
