Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liu Chunlin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February this year. In the Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script sold for HKD 56,700.00 (€ 6,813.41) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Chunlin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,925.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Chunlin erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring – Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 56.700,00 (€ 6.813,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Chunlin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.925,90) versteigert wurde.
