Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script by Liu Chunlin was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,642.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Liu Chunlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,925.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seven Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script von Liu Chunlin wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.642,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Chunlin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.925,90).
