Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Liu Chunlin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script sold for HKD 30,240.00 (€ 3,481.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Chunlin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script in March 2019 with an auction result of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,925.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Chunlin erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Seven-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 30.240,00 (€ 3.481,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Chunlin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.925,90).
