Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Calligraphy by Liu Bingsen was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 18,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 56,640.00 (€ 6,617.06). Admittedly, works by Liu Bingsen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couplet In Clerical Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 61,271.74).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Calligraphy von Liu Bingsen im Oktober 2015 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 18.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 56.640,00 (€ 6.617,06) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Bingsen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couplet In Clerical Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 61.271,74).
