Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,500.00 (€ 9,469.75). Admittedly, works by Lionel Dalhousie Robertson Edwards have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Meet of the Quorn in December 2000 with an auction result of USD 76,375.00 (€ 81,353.86).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.500,00 (€ 9.469,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lionel Dalhousie Robertson Edwards auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Meet of the Quorn im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 76.375,00 (€ 81.353,86).
