In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art, which included the work The Quorn on the scent by Lionel Dalhousie Robertson Edwards. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,396.89), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lionel Dalhousie Robertson Edwards have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Meet of the Quorn in December 2000 with an auction result of USD 76,375.00 (€ 81,353.86).

Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Quorn on the scent von Lionel Dalhousie Robertson Edwards zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.396,89) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lionel Dalhousie Robertson Edwards auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Meet of the Quorn im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 76.375,00 (€ 81.353,86).
