Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orion in a seaway by Rowland John Robb Langmaid was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2003. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 491.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowland John Robb Langmaid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset, Westminster in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,960.41).
