Auction result well in line with expectations
The work H.M.S. Victory under sail; Old Portsmouth; and Tower Bridge by Rowland John Robb Langmaid was sold in the MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES auction at Christies in London in November 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 329.00 (€ 472.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowland John Robb Langmaid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset, Westminster in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,960.41).

Die Arbeit H.M.S. Victory under sail; Old Portsmouth; and Tower Bridge von Rowland John Robb Langmaid wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES bei Christies in London versteigert.
