Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Rowland John Robb Langmaid could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES auction, the work A two-decker running downwind; and St. Ives, Cornwall changed hands for GBP 164.50 (€ 236.14) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rowland John Robb Langmaid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sunset, Westminster in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,960.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rowland John Robb Langmaid konnte im November 2003 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES wechselte die Arbeit A two-decker running downwind; and St. Ives, Cornwall für GBP 164,50 (€ 236,14) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rowland John Robb Langmaid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sunset, Westminster im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.960,41).
