Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by Liao Chi-Chun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2014. The price achieved of HKD 2,350,000.00 (€ 222,250.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liao Chi-Chun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 35,047,500.00 (€ 2,885,337.24).
