Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scenery In Yehliu by Liao Chi-Chun was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 18,000,000.00 – 28,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 19,700,000.00 (€ 1,961,182.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Liao Chi-Chun have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work Garden was auctioned for HKD 35,047,500.00 (€ 2,885,337.24).

Die Arbeit Scenery In Yehliu von Liao Chi-Chun kam im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 18.000.000,00 – 28.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 19.700.000,00 (€ 1.961.182,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Liao Chi-Chun konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2008 die Arbeit Garden für HKD 35.047.500,00 (€ 2.885.337,24) versteigert.
