Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sun-Moon Lake by Liao Chi-Chun was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art & Chinese 20th Century Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2009. The price achieved of HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 104,961.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liao Chi-Chun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Garden in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 35,047,500.00 (€ 2,885,337.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sun-Moon Lake von Liao Chi-Chun wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art & Chinese 20th Century Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.220.000,00 (€ 104.961,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liao Chi-Chun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Garden im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 35.047.500,00 (€ 2.885.337,24).
