The work Spring Scene in the Garden by Liao Chi-Chun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. It achieved a price of HKD 19,160,000.00 (€ 1,858,061.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Liao Chi-Chun; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Garden sold at auction in May 2008 with the realized price of HKD 35,047,500.00 (€ 2,885,337.24).

Die Arbeit Spring Scene in the Garden von Liao Chi-Chun kam im November 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 19.160.000,00 (€ 1.858.061,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Liao Chi-Chun; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Garden im Mai 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 35.047.500,00 (€ 2.885.337,24).
