Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Beside the Window by Liao Chi-Chun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 12,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 13,767,500.00 (€ 1,203,531.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liao Chi-Chun - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Garden, which sold at auction in May 2008 for HKD 35,047,500.00 (€ 2,885,337.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Beside the Window von Liao Chi-Chun kam im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 13.767.500,00 (€ 1.203.531,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Liao Chi-Chun mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Garden beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für HKD 35.047.500,00 (€ 2.885.337,24) versteigert wurde.
