Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Transcription Of Monk Sanzang'S 'Dangyuan' Stele In Regular Script by Liang Yan was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,030.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liang Yan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Thousand Character Classic In Running Script in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 377,600.00 (€ 38,875.02).

Die Arbeit Transcription Of Monk Sanzang'S 'Dangyuan' Stele In Regular Script von Liang Yan wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.030,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Yan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Thousand Character Classic In Running Script im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 377.600,00 (€ 38.875,02).
