Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Liang Yan. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,351.16). Admittedly, works by Liang Yan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Thousand Character Classic In Running Script in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 377,600.00 (€ 38,875.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Liang Yan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.351,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liang Yan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Thousand Character Classic In Running Script im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 377.600,00 (€ 38.875,02).
