In April 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Liang Yan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 264,500.00 (€ 24,600.22), 47% above the upper estimate. Other works by Liang Yan have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 377,600.00 (€ 38,875.02) in October 2014 for the work The Thousand Character Classic In Running Script.
