Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Big Conference Centre Limitation Screen by Liam Gillick for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,847.30). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Liam Gillick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Resolution Platform in November 2015 with an auction result of EUR 49,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Big Conference Centre Limitation Screen von Liam Gillick für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.847,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liam Gillick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Resolution Platform im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.600,00.
