Upper estimate price exceeded by 34 %.
In November 2021 Sothebys in Cologne held the auction Contemporary Passions, which included the work Elevated Projection by Liam Gillick. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 20,160.00 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liam Gillick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Resolution Platform, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 49,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in Köln die Auktion Contemporary Passions durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elevated Projection von Liam Gillick zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 20.160,00 und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Liam Gillick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Resolution Platform beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 49.600,00 versteigert wurde.
