Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Scholar at the Lakeside by Li Yanshan. The price achieved of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 9,140.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Yanshan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poolside Studio in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,615,000.00 (€ 525,321.40).
