Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Viewing Mountain at Pine Pavilion by Li Yanshan was sold in the Summer Reverie: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in September last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 35,280.00 (€ 4,590.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Yanshan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poolside Studio in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 4,615,000.00 (€ 525,321.40).
