Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Valley After Snow by Li Xubai was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,875.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Xubai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring After Snow in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 56,332.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Valley After Snow von Li Xubai wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.875,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 90.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Xubai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring After Snow im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 56.332,49).
