Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Journey In The Green Mountains by Li Xubai was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,459.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Xubai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring After Snow, which sold at auction in April 2016 for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 56,332.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Journey In The Green Mountains von Li Xubai kam im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.459,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Xubai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring After Snow beobachtet, die im April 2016 für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 56.332,49) versteigert wurde.
