Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring Snow by Li Xubai was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 9,586.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Xubai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Spring After Snow in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 56,332.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring Snow von Li Xubai kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 9.586,80) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Xubai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Spring After Snow im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 56.332,49).
