Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Nature Morte Chinoise No. 6 by Li Tianbing was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,378.52). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Tianbing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Image Collective Devant La Porte in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 180,500.00 (€ 245,268.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Nature Morte Chinoise No. 6 von Li Tianbing im April 2011 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.378,52) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Tianbing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Image Collective Devant La Porte im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 180.500,00 (€ 245.268,88).
