Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mao Avec Ses Camarades by Li Tianbing was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 350,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 36,708.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Li Tianbing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Image Collective Devant La Porte in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 180,500.00 (€ 245,268.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mao Avec Ses Camarades von Li Tianbing wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 350.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 36.708,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Tianbing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Image Collective Devant La Porte im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 180.500,00 (€ 245.268,88).
