This artwork by Li Qing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2010. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Chairman (There are 3 differences in the two paintings) sold for HKD 325,000.00 (€ 32,111.08) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Li Qing; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Four Wax Works (There Are Six Differences In Two Paintings) sold at auction in April 2014 with the realized price of HKD 590,000.00 (€ 54,873.83).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Qing erzielte im November 2010 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Chairman (There are 3 differences in the two paintings) für HKD 325.000,00 (€ 32.111,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 180.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Li Qing; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Four Wax Works (There Are Six Differences In Two Paintings) im April 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 590.000,00 (€ 54.873,83).
