This artwork by Li Hongzhang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script sold for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 23,702.78) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Li Hongzhang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,035,000.00 (€ 101,314.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Hongzhang erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Seven-Character Couplet In Running Script für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 23.702,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Hongzhang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.035.000,00 (€ 101.314,93).
