The work Running Script Calligraphy by Li Hongzhang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 32,299.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Hongzhang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 1,035,000.00 (€ 101,314.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy von Li Hongzhang kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 32.299,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Hongzhang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 1.035.000,00 (€ 101.314,93) versteigert wurde.
