Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2019 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II, which included the work Calligraphic Couplets by Li Hongzhang. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 377,600.00 (€ 43,159.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Hongzhang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 1,035,000.00 (€ 101,314.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets von Li Hongzhang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 350.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 377.600,00 (€ 43.159,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Hongzhang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 1.035.000,00 (€ 101.314,93) versteigert wurde.
