Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Li Hongzhang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,391.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Hongzhang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,035,000.00 (€ 101,314.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script von Li Hongzhang kam im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.391,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Hongzhang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.035.000,00 (€ 101.314,93).
