In November 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Eternal Floating Happiness by Li Guijun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,060,000.00 (€ 197,072.77), 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Li Guijun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 140 Art Studio in December 2013 with an auction result of CNY 7,080,000.00 (€ 848,839.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eternal Floating Happiness von Li Guijun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.060.000,00 (€ 197.072,77) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Guijun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 140 Art Studio im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 7.080.000,00 (€ 848.839,54).
