Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Fields of Vision: The Private Collection of Artists Wolf Kahn and Emily Mason Online Sale, which included the work Man In Woodcut, 1953-1957 by Lester F. Johnson. The price achieved of USD 375.00 (€ 307.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lester F. Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work City #3 in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 34,375.00 (€ 27,221.25).
