Auction result well in line with expectations
The work H.M. The Queen Mother's Birthday Celebrations, 27th June 1990, 21 Gun Salute by Leslie Worth was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in September 2008. The price achieved of GBP 375.00 (€ 474.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leslie Worth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy And Bicycle in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,415.34).
