Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 329.00 (€ 537.83). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leslie Worth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Boy And Bicycle in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,415.34).

Die Arbeit The Sea at Torcross, Devon von Leslie Worth kam im März 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 329,00 (€ 537,83) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leslie Worth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Boy And Bicycle im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.320,00 (€ 6.415,34).
