Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Safari Suite by LeRoy Neiman was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,400.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,678.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by LeRoy Neiman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Football Star Constellation in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 430,000.00 (€ 385,235.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Safari Suite von LeRoy Neiman kam im Januar 2024 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.678,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von LeRoy Neiman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Football Star Constellation im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 430.000,00 (€ 385.235,62).
