The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,710.00 (€ 12,461.23), 53% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Leonid Sokov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lenin And Giacometti in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,699.22).

Die Arbeit Stalin and Marylin von Leonid Sokov wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Escape Artists – The Non-Conformists Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.710,00 (€ 12.461,23) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonid Sokov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lenin And Giacometti im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.699,22).
